Timetables

Instead of our teachers planning out our day for us each day we get to decide what we do, grades 3 to 6 plan a timetable daily. As long as we have writing,maths,publishing and a reading task each day we can do almost anything (as long as its school work) from art to technology.

here is an example of one of my timetables

This Term

This term we are focusing on Sea Creatures, We made a power point on a sea creature of our choice. I did my project on Dugongs. Here is what i had to do after i had finished my project.



What enviromental factors could cause problems for this creature?

* Oil Spills
When dugongs come up to the surface to breathe they could get the oil int heir eyes and in there noses.


* Litter
They make a mistake and eat a piece of rubbish instead of sea grass.


This last one i thought of myself and could be an enviromental factor.


*Global Warming
Dugongs live in shallow waters and if the water keeps on rising (Because of Global warming) the shallow water will probably move to another part of the world. And then the dugongs would have to travel there but predators might eat them. Also the sea grass might not grow in that area and because their main source of food (sea grass) grows only in shallow water it might die and there would be no sea grass.
